Kobalt Shop - Uber Clean Flash Shopping Site

Kobalt Shop

KobaltWill ultra quick & slick checkouts and a seemless shopping experience ever triumph over traditional “hyper-card” type checkout experiences. Sites like these seem to challenge the conventional notion of the ecommerce site. Jump between the card and the products a few times and you see how the shopping experience feels incredibly fluid.

I wonder if there are any stats on use of flash or ajax for that matter vs traditional shopping experiences. Do users check out more often or less?

Memory Sticks

Who wants to impress their friends with a brand spankin new memory stick.. err, stick stick. Kind of like the ThumbDrive, but taken a little to the extreme. I guess you could say they took the whole memory stick idea a bit literal, maybe a mit too much. I couldn’t see throwin this thing in my pocket, but hey, it would make for interesting conversation I’m sure.

Herman Miller Aeron Chaise by Sietze Kalkwijk - Engadget

How sweet is this new Areon Chair. Travis, no you can’t it, I already want yours.

Aeron ChaiseWe’ve got the wireless keyboard, the wireless laser mouse, and the 30-inch LCD- why didn’t we think of this before? And wouldn’t you know it, here’s designer Sietze Kalkwijk teasing us with his one-off, you-can’t-have-one Herman Miller Aeron Chaise, commissioned by Berry Friedman, which takes the ergonomic office chair to the next level by making it a recliner-like lounger suitable for supine computing. Supposedly the design was inspired by us lazy Americans who have a reputation for living a rather sedentary and TV-filled existence, and may actually see a production run at some point. We’d love to argue with that whole “lazy Americans” thing, but we’re pretty sure that if we’re not the poster boys, we certainly contribute heavily to the stereotype.
